Swansea have revealed that they have agreed a financial package worth around £5k with Bangor City for talented youngster Owain Tudur-Jones, after the League of Wales club threatened to take the matter to a tribunal. It is understood that Chairman Huw Jenkins acted swiftly to agree a deal with Bangor - partly fearing that the club could be dragged through another Akinfenwa-like saga, where the Swans could be forced to pay up to £110k.
"While it was open to interpretation whether we had to pay anything", Jenkins told the Evening Post, "...we felt it was the right thing to do". "I had a chat with the Bangor chairman and I put myself in his position. There are times when you feel it's right to do something and this was one of them".
Meanwhile, Tudur-Jones was named on the substitute's bench for last night's Welsh U21 match with Malta, which the hosts won 3-1 in Llanelli.
