Ijah Anderson has finally signed a contract with Swansea that will keep him in South Wales until the summer of 2006. Having previously been on a month-to-month contract, Anderson is said to be delighted with the new deal that provides a long term financial security that all professional footballers crave in the current footballing climate.
It was previously thought that the ex-Bristol Rovers and Brentford utility player would be signing until this summer, but Kenny Jackett has rewarded Anderson with a long-term deal, meaning he will definitely be appearing at the new stadium next season.
The club also confirmed that Willy Gueret has signed his contract on Monday, as previously predicted on Friday. Gueret had been an ever-present in the starting line-up until last weekend, when suspension ruled him out of Swansea's victory at Boston and has signed on until the summer of 2007.
