The Spaniard netted his first goal in over a year-and-a-half, taking Kemy Agustien`s long ball down on his chest in the penalty area before turning and firing an emphatic effort into Neil Sullivan top left-hand corner to snatch a 1-1 draw.
"Scoring so late makes it feel like a victory," he told City`s official website. "It will give us a lot of confidence for Friday`s game against Portsmouth. If we can pick up a win at the Liberty then this point will be fantastic."
Rangel added: "I don`t know why I was still up in their area. As it was the last minute of the game I think I was probably playing with my heart rather than my head.
"It was a great ball from Kemy and I said to him afterwards that half the goal was his. I don`t score very often but I`m glad it happened because to stretch our unbeaten away record to five games is a great achievement.
"My main job is to defend but if I can chip in with a couple of goals along the way then it`s a bonus. I`m only 11 goals behind Scott Sinclair now!"
