Austin Forced Out By Traffic

Many Swansea supporter present at 3pm on Saturday will have been extremely suprised to have seen Stuart Jones in place of Kevin Austin in the Swansea line-up. Jones has hardly been "solid" in his performances so far this year for the senior and reserves teams and many believed that Austin had suffered a recurrence of a pre-season ankle injury.

Unfortunately, a massive car-pile up on the M4 just outside Newport forced the closure of the motorway for several hours and left a trail of Saturday morning traffic that eventually ended near Bristol. One driver stuck in the jam was left-back Austin, who eventually turned up at the Vetch near the final whistle.
Austin's nightmare forced Jackett to play Stuart Jones and meant a return to the substitutes' bench for Izzy Iriekpen.

Austin will be travelling with the squad to Loftus Road on Tuesday after his unlucky incident.
