Kenny Jackett has invited Bangor City midfielder Owain Jones to join the club for pre-season training. The talented 20-yr old has been with the League of Wales club since the age of 16 and has attracted the interest of Chelsea, with whom he enjoyed a one-week trial last season.
Jones is a member of the Welsh Under-21 squad and has also been capped at Under-19 level for his country. Described as a "tall, commanding and classy midfielder", Jones scored 15 goals in 44 appearances for Bangor last season and also played in both Intertoto Cup defeats against FC Dinaburg last month.
Jones will join up with fellow Swansea trialists Stuart Edwards, Matthew Gordon and Ian Ramsey for pre-season, in an attempt to win a move to the football league.
