Swansea and Torquay are both set to learn the fee that will be paid to the latter for the services of Adebayo Akinfenwa within the next 24 hours. The decision will be made by a panel commencing at around 11am on Thursday and the final verdict should be ready some time in the afternoon.
Torquay Chairman Mike Bateson has publicly stated that he is looking for a fee of around £150k for last season's top scorer, although it appears that this statement has merely been made to attempt to sway the panel. Just 10 days ago, Torquay were asking £70k, but it is believed that Swansea want to pay a much smaller fee that is dependent on apperances.
Nevertheless, Kenny Jackett will have a much better idea of how much money is left in the transfer kitty by Thursday evening.
