Borini braced for Swans bow

The highly-rated Italy Under-21 international striker signed on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season on Thursday and is set to make his eagerly-awaited City bow, subject to the relevant paperwork being cleared.

Borini`s arrival gives manager Brendan Rodgers welcome options in attack, with the Swans winless in three games and desperate for victory against an out-of-form Forest side who are just three points below them in the table.

Indeed Rodgers may well have fresh options all over the pitch after centre-back and captain Garry Monk (knee) and midfielder Andrea Orlandi (thigh) made welcome returns to action on Tuesday after lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Monk played the entire 90 minutes of the club`s reserve-team win at Plymouth while Orlandi managed 75 minutes, and both players are set to be in Rodgers` plans this weekend.
