League One rivals AFC Bournemouth are reportedly interested in Swansea striker Paul Connor, according to several national newspapers. Connor was allegedly set to complete a move to Darlington over the weekend, although sources suggest that the striker may be unwilling to return to the north-east.
Connor was made available by Kenny Jackett last week after admitting that there were just "too many forwards" at the club and agreed an undisclosed fee with Darlington for his services. The striker hit 13 goals last season in Swansea's promotion push to League One but has now been pushed further down the pecking order with the arrivals of Lee Thorpe and Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Although it is unclear whether Bournemouth have made an official bid for the player, it appears that Connor could start in League One next season after all.
