The Swans beat Peterborough 1-0 to sit five points behind third-placed Nottingham Forest but injuries to Darren Pratley and Ferrie Bodde - the latter with an apparent recurrence of the knee injury that had sidelined him for five months - overshadowed the victory.
Swansea are also having to cope with injuries to Joe Allen, Andrea Orlandi and Jordi Lopez but Brittain believes the squad can still keep up their promotion charge despite the lengthy injury list.
"I think we can cope. We are adaptable and can change things if needed," Britton told the South Wales Evening Post.
"There are clubs with bigger budgets and squads around us in the table but we have a lot of players on our books that are capable of helping us through a tough time.
"We have shown the squad is good enough. Whoever has come in has done well and the results have not been affected."
