Burnley Deny Scotland Bid

Swans chairman Huw Jenkins had been reportedly quoted as claiming that he had rejected an offer from The Clarets for the striker but Burnley manager Owen Coyle has denied these reports.

"At no time have we made a written offer for Jason Scotland," Coyle has told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"There was a private conversation between Brendan Flood (Burnley's operational director) and Huw Jenkins where they spoke about the player.

"I've always said that we are discreet and will always keep our business close to our chest."
