Ex-Swansea youngster Richard Duffy has joined Burnley on a month's loan from Premiership Portsmouth after finding first team opportunities somewhat limited. Duffy joins Portsmouth on a one month loan and should go into the squad ahead of Burnley's fixture against Stoke this weekend.
The media are reporting that Pompey manager Redknapp still sees Duffy as a major part of the club's future plans and is hoping that the young full back can gain vital first team experience from playing in the Championship.
Duffy was a product of the Swansea youth setup, but was snapped up by Portsmouth last season after only a handful of appearances. The youngster has appeared for Portsmouth and made his first team debut coming on as a substitute against Manchester City towards the end of last season.
