Flying winger Bradley Maylett has made his last appearance for the Swans after signing for Boston United on a free transfer. Maylett signed a 14-month deal with the Lincolnshire outfit, after initially joining on loan until the end of the season.
Maylett initially joined Swansea on loan from Burnley in the relegation-battling 2002/03 season, before signing for Brian Flynn in the following summer. After hitting a hat-trick on his debut, Swansea fans will most remember Maylett for his pace and inconsistency - a player capable of scoring from 30 yards against Macclesfield one minute and then failing to control a simple pass the next.
The move will come as no suprise to Swansea fans, as Maylett was quoted as saying that he would not come back to South Wales to sit on the bench only yesterday. After promising so much in the early days of his Swansea career, the winger has found it difficult to break into the first team this season and now leaves the club on a free transfer.
