Chairman Confirms Burgess Fee Agreed

Despite the Chairman's comments yesterday, expecting the transfer to be completed by the weekend, it appears that the deal for Andy Burgess will not go through until the early part of next week. Huw Jenkins confirmed that the two clubs have agreed a fee for the player and a deal worth around £90k will be completed by Tuesday.

Jenkins told the Evening Post, "We should discuss personal terms with Andy over the weekend and, hopefully, we will wrap things up on Monday or Tuesday". Finally, the will-he, won't-he saga appears to be over and Swansea look set to make their first signing of the summer.

However, with the 1st of July fast approaching, Swans fans can expect a large amount of transfer activity and rumours over the next month or so, with the transfer market coming alive as teams prepare for the new season.
