The identity of the mysterious Nigerian International that played in last night's friendly at Forest Green has been confirmed as Minabo Asechemie - as was exclusively revealed on Swans MAD yesterday. Asechemie will continue his trial with the club over the next few weeks as he nurses an ankle injury that he picked up during Tuesday's friendly but will be hoping to win a contract in South Wales as soon as possible.
''Minabo is a holding midfield player who played out of position at centre-back for us and we're going to have another look at him", Jackett told the Evening Post. ''He has got something. He has some composure on the ball and he has some stature and some strength. He read the game quite well, too, and the disappointing thing was that he had to come off with an ankle injury after an hour".
Meanwhile, fellow trialist Adam Chambers has been told to look elsewhere by Jackett, as the ex-West Brom midfielder failed to impress in Tuesday's draw.
