Darlington have officially ended their interest in Paul Connor after manager David Hodgson admitted that he had been misinformed with regards to the player's status. Hodgson had received information that Connor had been released by the Swans, but immediately halted his interest once he found out that this was not the case.
Speaking to the club's official website, Hodgson claimed, "I must admit I did speak to Kenny Jackett but it ended there...I only did that because I was misled, or misinformed, that the player has technically been freed. It ended there because he hasn't bee freed and they want a transfer fee for him. So as far as I am concerned, that is us out of the equation without doubt".
