Dutch International winger Jordi Cruyff has been an unlikely attendant at Kenny Jackett's training sessions this week, but admits that he has been impressed by what he has seen. A long-time friend of Roberto Martinez, Cruyff is attempting to regain his fitness ahead of a transfer to Dubai and stated "Swansea have been doing really well and, having trained with the lads for a few days, I can see why".
Speaking to the Evening Post, Cruyff explained that friend and Swansea captain Martinez had spoken very highly of the club. "Having seen it for myself I think they have got a good chance and I certainly hope they do well", said Cruyff. ''Everybody is really positive and there are a couple of players here with some good ability".
However, Kenny Jackett admitted that perhaps offering a contract to the Dutch International would be slightly unrealistic. Cruyff will soon be off on a big-money move to Dubai - something that Swansea could never compete with! ''Maybe he will fall in love with the Welsh coastline and come back to us one day in the future" joked Jackett. Nevertheless, training with a player of Cruyff's calibre can only benefit the Swansea players and the son of Dutch legend Johan, is expected to be present at tonight's clash with Mansfield.
