Damian Lacey Axed By Swans

Swansea have terminated the contract of ex-Swansea midfielder Damian Lacey after deciding that he was surplus to requirements at the club. Lacey had re-joined the club as assistant physio after retiring during the 02/03 season from his playing duties, but now faces the prospect of life after Swansea City once again.
"Damian has left as part of our general summer restructuring", Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post. "We've changed things around and Damian's position has become surplus to requirements. He did a good job for us and we wish him all the best in whatever he does next".
