Duffy said: "It's taken a while for the contract details to be sorted, but now I can sign and carry on with my career.
"I think coming here is something I had to do to stand a chance of playing first team football on a regular basis. Hopefully, if I do well enough, I can do that here.
"I was at Swansea for 14 months, so I guess you could say that it was short and sweet.
"The biggest factor in my move was that I just wanted to play football. I'm not interested in sitting in the stands, and with the size of the squad at Swansea, there were as many as 12 or 13 players sitting up in the stand on a matchday.
"Hopefully I can establish myself here and do well."
