The Swans have been noted for their slick passing style under boss Brendan Rodgers this season which has propelled them to second in the Championship table, and this was on show to the full in their impressive 3-0 win over promotion rivals Leeds at the weekend.
However, the Welsh side will have to show their battling qualities when they lock horns with the Iron who are scrapping for every point they can get at the wrong end of the table.
Dyer told the South Wales Evening Post: "We expect it to be a real battle on Saturday. It will be very different from the Leeds game as Scunthorpe are down there fighting for every point.
"We will have to approach it slightly differently, but we've already had to do that this season. Against Coventry we had to battle and show that we can stand up to physical teams on a surface that's not the best, but still play our own football.
"That's why we are second in the table. You have to be like that if you want to go up. The best teams in the world have the quality around the squad, but you need that nitty gritty to go that extra mile."
