Easter ends Swansea loan spell

Easter came in when Swans boss Brendan Rodgers lost Marvin Emnes in November when he was recalled by Middlesbrough.

"We have still got enough strikers but obviously Jermaine has come in and done well for us," said Rodgers.

"But we have got other good strikers. We have got Stephen Dobbie and Craig Beattie. We have got Shefki [Kuqi] who is sitting outside the squad as well

"Until these players go then they they may well have a contribution. If you look at Cedric van der Gun. I'm not one that totally closes players out. Cedric is one that hasn't been in the squad, but he has been training very very well.

"And what I have always felt with Cedric is that when he played he always makes a contribution.

"So the players that are on the outside I always try to give them the motivation to keep working well. You never know what might happen."

One of Rodgers' strike force Gorka Pintado is at AEK Larnaca on loan for the rest of the season.

The return of Easter to MK Dons came on the same day that the midfielder Jordi Lopez has had his contract at the Swans cancelled by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old Spaniard was signed on a free transfer in July 2009 by former manager Paulo Sousa but struggled with injury and being out of favour.
