Kenny Jackett looks set to bolster his high-flying Swansea side with the addition of Watford striker Scott Fitzgerald on a one-month loan deal. Jackett appears to have successfully raided his old club for Fitzgerald, who is expected to sign on Tuesday morning - and could go straight into the starting line-up against Luton Town.
Watford initially signed Fitzgerald from non-league Northwood and was a revelation in his first full season at Vicarage Road, finishing as top goalscorer last season. However, this season the striker has found it difficult to break into the Hornet's first team and has decided that a loan deal could benefit him.
"I think he'll be a very good addition" said Jackett, "...and, while we have a bit of a striker crisis with injuries, I'm sure he'll help us out and do very well". The addition of Fitzgerald will no doubt excite Swansea supporters who see the number of goals being scored as their side's only weak point so far this season.
