Kenny Jackett has stated that all five senior out-of-contract players will be offered new deals to stay in South Wales, as he attempts to ready his squad for next season. Discussions have already begun with Leon Britton, Kevin Austin, Izzy Iriekpen, Brian Murphy and Kristian O'Leary, yet Kenny Jackett has admitted that a couple of his squad could find themselves transfer-listed in the next few weeks.
Speaking to the Evening Post, Jackett ''Over the next fortnight I need to form a squad to compete in League One and I want to keep all of them". ''There's nobody who hasn't been spoken to and is waiting to find out". ''I will take my time to make sure I don't make any mistakes and will have to speak to one or two individuals before deciding if anyone goes on the transfer list".
The forgotten Vetch-Field hero James Thomas could also find himself as a Swansea player next season, as the injuury-crocked striker has been invited to return to pre-season training in July and prove his fitness.
