Chris Coleman has openly stated that Darren Pratley will not be joining Swansea next season, be it on loan or for a permanent deal. Jackett had hoped to use Saturday's friendly to help convince the Fulham manager to part with his promising midfielder, but Coleman has admitted that there is no chance of that happening.
"My heart says I want to be nice but I have to do what's right for Darren and Fulham", Coleman told Wales On Sunday. "We don't want to let him go to a League One side. He needs to go to a Championship team on loan and then come back to us a better player with more first-team experience".
Therefore, it appears that another one of Jackett's primary transfer targets has passed him by and Kenny will be forced to look elsewhere to strengthen his newly promoted Swansea side.
