Bristol City manager Brian Tinnion has revealed that Marc Goodfellow's move away from Ashton Gate to South Wales could still occur, after Swansea's initial approach for the winger was denied earlier in the week. Speaking to the club's official website, Tinnion hinted that Goodfellow may be allowed to leave the club, perhaps on an initial loan basis, but not until after City's weekend FA Cup tie.
Tinnion claimed that the initial approach from Swansea was turned down as he didn't want Goodfellow leaving during City's difficult run of home games. However, with this run set to end after City's FA Cup tie against Brentford this weekend, Tinnion has stated that he will sit and down and discuss his winger's future and accepted that "players not in the first team want to find a club where they will be involved".
Therefore, it appears that the deal is not dead and buried just yet and that Marc Goodfellow could well be appearing in South Wales before too long. Although likely to be on an initial loan basis with a view to a permanent deal, Swansea could soon have the left-footed speedy wingster that Kenny Jackett so desires.
