Kenny Jackett admitted yesterday that he is still interested in ex-loanee Marc Goodfellow, although any deal to sign him will depend on his success with other targets. Bristol City are asking just £15k for the pacy winger and Jackett has claimed that if he still has enough transfer funds left at the end of the summer, then Goodfellow could well become a Swan.
Jackett told the Evening Post, "I'm definitely still interested in Marc Goodfellow. Marc's a talented player, no question, and he's someone I'll be pursuing if I get my first targets and I have a little bit of money left over. I'm hopeful that will be the case".
Goodfellow fast became a fans' favourite in his brief loan spell over Christmas, scoring crucial goals and adding balance on the left wing. Many supporters have been crying out for Jackett to sign the ex-Stoke winger on a permanent basis and will be hopeful that the Swansea manager does just that.
