Swansea manager Kenny Jackett has announced that Willy Gueret is close to finalising a new contract that would see him remain in South Wales until the summer of 2006. The ever-present goalkeeper is currently in the final stages of negotiations and an announcement from the club is likely on Monday.
Meanwhile, left-sided midfielder Ijah Anderson has put pen to paper on a new deal that sees his contract extended until this summer. Anderson's new contract replaces his old month-to-month deal that he had previously signed during Swansea's injury and suspension-ravaged month of December.
Jackett divulged information on the progress of both contracts at last night's Trust Meeting, which was attended by over 150 supporters. Club captain Roberto Martinez also answered questions at the meeting, which also covered new aspects of Swansea's brand new stadium, finances and team selection.
