Swansea defender Andy Gurney will miss next Sunday's trip to Cheltenham in the first round of the FA Cup after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season on Saturday. Gurney was involved in a number of incidents that eventually lead to his booking in the second half of Swansea's 1-0 victory over Bristol Rovers and now misses next weekend's big match.
Gurney was one of four Swansea players booked in an ill-tempered match, with Adrian Forbes, Roberto Martinez and Kevin Nugent all receiving cautions for unsporting behaviour. However, with Gurney, Paul Connor, Kris O'Leary and Andy Robinson all resting on four cards before the start of play, Kenny Jackett will be happy that only one received his fifth caution.
