Holt Bid Rejected?

According to reports up north, Swansea have now had two bids for Grant Holt turned down in the last week. The Rochdale striker has apparently been also been subject to a bid from League Two champions Yeovil Town, which was also rejected.

Holt has been one of Kenny Jackett's primary targets since Christmas, with Rochdale originally turning down a £75k bid in February. Despite clearly remaining as one of Swansea's top transfer targets of the summer, it appears that Rochdale are desperate to keep hold of their largest asset and may have priced him out of the market.

Meanwhile, the club are eagerly attempting to extend the ex-Sheffield Wednesday's striker's contract at Spotland in an attempt to end speculation over his future. Jackett has clearly stated that he is looking for value for money this summer and with Rochdale's valuation of the player clearly higher than Swansea's, he may be forced to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
