How Attitudes Can Change In Just 3 Days!!!

Talk to most Swanseas fans that attended Saturday's Northampton fixture and their reactions would probably be one of utter dejection. It wasn't so much the performance, more the individual errors and how a Swans side touted by so many to achieve promotion this season, just simply caved in. Message boards and phone-ins all seemed to follow the same pattern...is Kenny Jackett the right man for the job? Are Swansea in for another season of bitter disappointment?
Unbelievably, after just one match of the new season, there were cries of "Jackett Out" on Saturday coming from the North Bank. Now, just over 72 hours since the final whistle blew during Saturday's season opener and fans are slightly more positive about the 2004/05 campaign. Finding a Swansea supporter who still feels dejected may be unlikely, but fans will remain cautiously optimistic...until 5pm on Saturday at least, when we will all have a better idea of how successful this season will be.
A gutsy 2-0 victory at Rochdale cemented Swansea's first points of the season, in a performance that was both dogged and determined. The defence just would not buckle, and even when finally broken, the figure of Willy Gueret proved impossible to beat. And we even had some goals!!!!
Jackett and a number of first team players stated that they were determined to take six points from this week's encounters - a target that they are now half way to achieving. Saturday's trip to Macclesfield will no doubt be tougher than Tuesday's match, with the Northerners securing maximum points so far with victories over Shrewsbury and Leyton Orient. But lets not worry about that now...Kenny finally grabbed that elusive first win (albeit at the second attempt) and Swans fans can sleep well tonight!!
Kenny Jackett's Barmy Army!!
