Swansea have confirmed that both Leon Hylton and Bradley Maylett will go under the surgeon's knife in a bid to cure their hernia's. The operations will take place in 10 days and usually require a lay-off of around six weeks.
The news will come as a bit of a blow to Kenny Jackett, as Maylett was forcing Adrian Forbes to raise his game on the right hand side of midfield with some match-winning performances. Maylett had been complaining of abdominal pains for some time and pulled up in the warm-down after the Leyton Orient match - a game that he never actually appeared in.
As for Leon Hylton, his comedy of injuries continues as he battles it out with James Thomas for the official title of most injury prone Swansea player. The defender last appeared in February and physion Richie Evans admits that he is shocked at the specialist's recommendation. Evans stated that Hylton had never complained of any pain and was only sent to Manchester on the off-chance.
