Mark Aizlewood, arguably one of the most hated men in Swansea, will return to the Vetch Field this weekend as assistant manager to Ian Rush's Chester. The ex-Cardiff player has been a target for fans after numerous anti-Swansea comments during his recent career as a TV pundit and Aizlewood is expecting a hostile reception in Swansea on Saturday. However, Aizlewood himself has admitted that this weekend's League Two match will be nothing more than a "damage limitation exercise" for his side, claiming that Swansea are the best in League Two.
"I honestly believe they're the best side in the league", Aizlewood told the Western Mail. "In Lee Trundle and Paul Connor they've got the two best centre-forwards in the league...it's going to be difficult for us because we haven't got any players and we'll be going there with the objective of keeping the score down".
Therefore, it appears that Chester's assistant manager isn't holding out for too much in this weekend's fixture and claims that it will be a virtual certainty that his side comes away empty handed. One thing is for sure, is that Aizlewood will be hoping to keep a low profile - last season he was pushed into railings by several Swans supporters who had been left angry at his comments. Could be a tough afternoon for Mr Aizlewood all round?!
