Kenny Jackett has confirmed that he has held talks with Ijah Anderson over a possible move to South Wales prior to this weekend's League Two match against Bury. Anderson has made over 250 senior appearances so far in his career and agreed to leave Bristol Rovers by mutual consent last month. The attacking full-back could be added to the squad to provide cover for the suspended Andy Robinson on the left of Swansea's midfield over the course of the next month.
However, Swansea have confirmed that they are still in talks about bringing Bristol City's Marc Goodfellow to the club - a player that Jackett had targeted long before his side found themselves in their current situation. The Swansea manager has only 14 senior players to choose from for this weekend's fixture, with three injured, five suspended and the knowledge that both Sam Ricketts and Adrian Forbes have both collected four yellow cards so far.
Both Anderson and Goodfellow are both left-footers - an ability that Jackett has crucially highlighted as he attempts to add balance to his high-flying midfield. Anderson was present at the Vetch Field today to open talks after a trial with Oldham fell through.
