Garry Monk returns to action in tomorrow night's League Two away fixture at struggling Oxford United after completing a two match suspension for his contraversial sending off at Shrewsbury Town a fortnight ago. However, Monk has since been charged with a further misconduct charge by the Football Association of Wales following an incident in the same match where referee Eddie Evans fell to the ground - which could mean the centre-back facing another three game ban in the near future.
Swansea have appealed against the new ban and Kenny Jackett revealed that they are expecting a decision around the 18th of December - just prior to the South Wales club's match against Notts County. Despite not being mentionned in the referee's report, the FAW decided to suspend Monk, although Swansea are hopeful that their appeal may reduce the severity of the punishment.
Jackett will no doubt be hoping that the FAW decide to change their original decision and allow Monk to participate in Swansea's crucial Christmas fixture list...especially considering the South Wales club's recent stuttering form that has seen them fall from the top of the League Two table.
