Watford striker Scott Fitzgerald could see his loan deal at Swansea extended by another month, after Kenny Jackett revealed he is looking to keep hold of him. Fitzgerald has made just one start since arriving at the Vetch and sees his current deal expire after Saturday's trip to Grimsby. However, Jackett has admitted that he would like to keep Fitzgerald at the club for a longer period of time...but Watford could have other ideas.
Jackett has stated that Watford may decide to reject Swansea's approach for an extension after a number of injuries at Vicarage Road. The fact that Fitzgerald was sent to the Vetch to gain match practice may also influence Watford's decision, as the striker has made just one start and two brief appearances as a substitute.
Nevertheless, Fitzgerald has certainly impressed in his short spell so far in South Wales and is reportedly keen to stay for another month. Swansea are expecting a decision early next week.
