Swansea manager Kenny Jackett has moved quickly to quash speculation linking himself to the vacant position at Watford, simply claiming "I'm very happy at Swansea". The Watford board had announced that they were looking for an up and coming young manager, possibly with links to the club in the past, leading many to highlight Jackett as a potential candidate - but the Swans boss claims he is not interested.
"I am very happy at Swansea". Jackett told the Evening Post. "It's a terrific job. I was delighted to be offered it and I am delighted to be doing it now". "We have a big job here now trying to get promotion and all I want to focus on is that".
Swansea host fellow automatic promotion hopefuls Maccelsfield Town on Friday night, with Jackett's side in desperate need of a morale-boosting victory. The hosts could be without a trio of first-teamers, after Paul Connor, Marcus Bean and Adrian Forbes were all rated as 50-50, yet Jackett has stated that no new arrivals will occur before this afternoon's deadline.
