Kenny Jackett has claimed that second half substitute Paul Connor should have nothing to worry about, after he was withdrawn 24 minutes later after coming on against Fulham on Saturday. Speculation had been rife that Jackett had snubbed his forward, but Jackett has claimed that the side's tactics were to blame for his substitution.
Connor turned down the offer of a move to Darlington after the club accepted a bid for him 10 days ago, with Jackett stating that he was allowing the player to leave as he had "too many forward players" in South Wales. However, it appears that Connor is still very much a part of his plans - ''It was nothing personal", Jackett told the Evening Post on the subject of Saturday's substitution, "...just a tactical thing".
