The Swans are currently second in the Championship but are still haunted by their dramatic collapse last season, when a run of just three wins in 13 matches saw them miss out on the play-offs by one point.
But Jenkins believes that Brendan Rodgers` men will use that heart-breaking experience to their advantage as they push for promotion to the Premier League.
"Last year didn't finish the way we all hoped it would," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"We have talked things through at the club, with staff and players, and we are all trying to take on board the lessons from what happened.
"It's a long season in the Championship and things can catch up with people."
