Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins has stated that he is expecting at least a play-off finish for the Coca-Cola League Two club. Jenkins hopes that the very least that the club can expect is a final position in the top seven, which will give the Swans every chance of playing League One football in their new stadium.
Kenny Jackett also took his first look around the Stadium formerly known as "White Rock" and could not contain his excitement at the club's future. The ex-QPR assistant manager just hopes that he can lead the South Wales club to success this season and keep the Swansea City momentum going.
However, Chairman Jenkins has also expressed his worry that Swansea could stagnate in the next few seasons. He believes that no promotion within the next two seasons would be a "disaster", as the novelty of having a brand new stadium eventually wears off, leading to a reduction in attendances. Nevertheless, Jenkins believes that if Swansea can produce last season's early form throughout the year, then 2005 will be a phenomenal success.
