Kenny: "Many More Hard Games To Come"

Last updated : 10 August 2005 By Richard Evans
Swansea manager Kenny Jackett could not have hoped for a better start to life in League One after taking maximum points from a tough opening two fixtures. However, the ex-QPR assistant manager is under no illusions about the season ahead and is cautious to predict the club's final placing come May.

"The players in this division are more athletic", Jackett told the Evening Post, "...and we've been flat out to get anything in the two games we've had so far". ""I don't think I'm hard to please...I like watching my football and I like analysing it, and I just think there are things we could have done better. We needed to take the right option and be a bit more incisive when we had the chance".

Despite the unsuprising fact that local supporters are finding it hard not to get carried away with their League One start, Jackett is waiting for at least another 5 or 6 matches, so as to gain a better understanding of just how good his newly-promoted side is. Nevertheless, after just 180 minutes of higher division football, the omens certainly are good.......!!
