Local media are reporting that Kenny Jackett has shown an interest in Stoke City winger Lewis Neal as he attempts to bolster his promotion-chasing side. A representative from Swansea was present at Stoke vs Bradford reserves on Monday and was impressed by Neal's performance, which included grabbing two goals.
Neal is a product of the Stoke youth-system but has found first team opportunities limited over the past few seasons. Now at the age of 23, the left winger could be tempted to move away from the Britannia Stadium by the offer of first team football in South Wales.
Neal is the second left winger within a week linked to the Vetch, with Bristol City' Marc Goodfellow also targeted by Jackett last week. Although Swansea's initial approach was turned down, it is thought that a move for the winger could be back on after Goodfellow held crunch talks with his manager over the weekend.
