Swansea's club shop have stated that they have sold over 2000 tickets in 48 hours for their last ever home fixture at the Vetch Field in May. Tickets became available on Monday and involve supporters buying their final Vetch tickets as part of a three-game package. The club are advising anyone wishing to attend the last game at the Vetch and who does not already have entry, to purchase their ticket as soon as possible - stating that all tickets are likely to be sold out by Friday.
In the Linked Ticket scheme, supporters must purchase home tickets against Leyton Orient and Chester in order to buy their pass for the final big home match against Shrewsbury Town. This means that the club will virtually have three sell-outs on their hands and also reward loyalty for regular supporters. According to reports, less than 1000 places are still available for the North Bank, with only handfuls of tickets left in other stands.
Swansea will be moving to their new all-seater stadium in the summer, with the first fixture set to take place on the last weekend of July.
