Ex-Swan Stuart Jones has signed professional terms at League Of Wales club Llanelli in a move that is being hailed as the biggest in the club's history. Jones, who was released last month after making just four senior appearances in Jackett's promotion charge, is the club's first full-time player in 50 years and is hoping to lead Llanelli into Europe next season.
Jones described last season as "frustrating", as he was forced to watch on from the sidelines or play in the reserves for the majority of the year. "I am attracted by the chance of playing first team football every week", Jones told the Evening Post. "This move is a huge opportunity for me. Although in footballing terms it is a step down, I have been playing for Swansea reserves all season and I want to be in the first team - I am happy to get out of there to be honest".
Jones joins fellow ex-Swan Stuart Roberts, who signed on with the reds last week after being released by Conference outfit Forest Green.
