Martinez has dismissed a suggestion from the player's agent that the Argentinian striker is set to go out on loan to either Italy or Spain. Instead Boselli, 25, seems to have been handed a window of opportunity at the DW Stadium.
Boselli has yet to score in the Premier League after arriving from Estudiantes in the summer for a fee reported to be around £6.5million.
He was on the bench in the defeat by Newcastle on Sunday and may have to play second fiddle again to Hugo Rodallega at Bolton.
Asked if there was any movement regarding Boselli, Martinez said: "Not at all. I saw the story. I don't know what is the thought behind it.
"Mauro came on and played half an hour on Sunday and when you have so many games in front of you, he has a great opportunity to try to settle into the team. We will see how things develop."
