Match Preview - Portsmouth v Swansea City

Last updated : 23 January 2009 By Tycoch Jack

After the team's magnificent performance last Saturday against Reading at the Liberty Stadium, the Swans travel to Fratton Park tomorrow to take on cup-holders Portsmouth in the 4th round of the E.ON FA Cup.

The Swans welcome back Leon Britton from suspension, but he is not guaranteed a place in the starting line-up. A superb man-of-the-match performance against Reading from teenager Joe Allen, as well as a brilliant debut from Nathan Dyer, may condemn Britton to a place on the subs bench. Roberto Martinez has no new injury worries to contend with, and will probably start with the same eleven that began the game against Reading.

As for Pompey they are likely to start with their internationals, which include Peter Crouch, David James and Sol Campbell. There are slight injury doubts over the Pompey goal-keeper, who is likely to play through the pain barrier. Pompey have also signed Jermaine Pennant on loan from Liverpool, and he is likely to make his debut against the Swans. Full-back Glen Johnson is suspended for the game and Niko Kranjcar is out with a torn groin muscle.

The referee for tomorrow's game is 38 year-old Andre Marriner from the West Midlands.
