Swansea winger Brad Maylett has stated that he will not return to South Wales if he won't be participating in Kenny Jackett's first team next season. Maylett is currently on loan at Boston and after a series of rousing displays, the winger is ready to make the switch to Lincolnshire a permanent one.
Speaking to the Evening Post, Maylett claimed that he would "call it a day" at Swansea if he isn't in consideration for a first-team place. ''I've made it clear I'm not happy not being in the first team at Swansea. When I return, perhaps Swansea will have a look at me again and see what I have to offer".
''Boston have been good to me and if they put something in front of me which is agreeable then I'll sign". However, any permanent deal for Maylett would no doubt include some form of compensation for the Swans, who still have the flying winger under contract for another 12 months.
