Kevin McLeod appears to have finally answered his critics, as he added another man-of-the-match display to his recent run of fantastic form. The ex-QPR winger hit a hat-trick as Swansea thrashed hopeless Bristol City, making him League One's top scorer with seven goals so far this term.
McLeod's start to life in Swansea had been slow after an initial transfer of £65k from QPR last February, with many critics claiming that the speedy scouser was nothing more than a giant waste of money. However, after opting to stay in South Wales to regain full fitness over the summer, McLeod appears to have now hit top form, snatching seven goals in his last four league games and helping to propel the Swans to the top of League One.
Meanwhile, Lee Trundle's brace against Brian Tinnion's out-of-form outfit took his tally to five league goals so far, with Ade Akinfenwa and Leon Britton also hitting the net. The one sour note for the Swans was the dismassal of Kevin Austin in injury time for a second yellow card after a clumsy challenge.
