Move For Bournemouth's Stock Is A No-Go

Bournemouth midfielder Brian Stock will not be moving to South Wales, after Cherries Chairman Peter Phillips dismissed the story as just another rumour created by "silly season". Stories had been circulating linking the pint-sized Stock to Swansea after Kenny Jackett openly stated he was looking to add another midfielder to his ranks, yet it appears that the story may have been nothing but tabloid specualtion.

"I've got no idea where all this stuff about Swansea has come from", Phillips told the Bournemouth Echo, "but it's the silly season and this is what happens over the summer. People make these things up and they take on a life of their own but there is no validity in any of these rumours".

Phillips continued, "The reality is that over this close season, I haven't had a single approach, either formal or informal, from any club for any of our players".
