Bosses at the company managing Swansea's new stadium, StadCo, claim that there are a number of large companies interested in buying the naming rights for the club's new home. StadCo are currently in negotiations with several large firms, although they were quick to stress that missing out on promotion to League One will not affect any of the deals.
Companies will have to pay around £250k per season for the stadium's exclusive naming rights, which follows along the lines of ideas implemented by Bournemouth, Bolton and Leicester City. However, supporters will be hoping that the club do not follow the path of Conference Outfit York City, whose home ground "Bootham Crescent" became the "Kit Kat Crescent" last year.
StadCo are expecting the deal to be in place by the end of June, with the grand opening of the stadium set to be during the end of the following month. Swansea are still yet to announce which side they will be playing in the first ever match at the new stadium, after Juventus appear to have declined their invitation.
