No deal for Parker.... Yet

Nottingham Forest now seem to have joined the race for the in demand frontman who scored 16 goals for Blackpool last season, Helping them to promotion including 2 against the Swans in the epic 6-3 win for the Seasiders at the Liberty Stadium.

The Scotsman has failed to score this season but had been deeply in most starting elevens but found himself frozen out completely in the match at Sheffield United.

"No deal has been done. Picking the squad for Sheffield United was easy because after we'd won the previous match 4-0 I didn't need to change my 11 or the five on the bench because they all had done so well.

"I've got players at the club who need opportunities on the pitch but I can only pick 16 out of 20-odd who I think are going to win us the game. I've been vindicated in the last two matches."

When asked again if the Scotsman is leaving, Grayson said: "Not at this moment, not as it stands. We'll have to wait and see.

"I am not going to say that he is going or staying. He is out of contract in the summer but he is part of a squad over the Christmas period, a time when people will get opportunities.

"Certain people didn't get that opportunity and they have to wait for them. Sometimes I've got to be loyal to other players.

"I have six strikers. Bart Slusarski could have started, so could Scott Vernon. I will select players when I feel it is right.

"Keigan was just left out. He was part of a 22-man squad, along with John Hills, Marcus Bean and Adrian Forbes, who were also left out of the 16."
Bids of £200k are expected from whatever club that will attempt to sign Parker.
