Any deal taking Martin Devaney to Swansea now appears extremely doubtful, after Kenny Jackett stated that he would not be offering the Cheltenham winger a deal. Devaney claimed only yesterday that Swansea were extremely interested and he was looking forward to having further talks with the South Wales club next week, yet Jackett appears to have decided otherwise.
Devaney continues to be linked to a number of other higher league clubs, although Swansea appear to be the only side to have made a formal offer. However, after Jackett's comments this morning to BBC Sport, it would seem that any deal is dead in the water and the Swansea manager is prepared to look elsewhere.
